Hey guys!
I hope everyone is ready to start the Book of Mormon challenge with me!
It takes about 8 chapters a day to read the book of mormon in 30 days, but i would also take into consideration your scheddule, (if you have a super busy day one day maybe read about 5 chapters and then read 11 the next day) but it will definitly be by trial and error, but you can do it!
I read the Book of Mormon last month and it got me way pumped!
This month my focus will be references to light found in the mormon because of the new Youth theme!
Also as a side note, someone mentioned to me that they are doing a half marathon and reading the Book of Mormon 6 times instead of 12 which is great too! Whichever you choose I hope as you read you can feel the spirit and share your experiences with others!
Happy reading! and a happy new year too!

Upcoming Fun! (:
Hey! Sorry I haven't posted in awhile. Life sure has been busy around here.
My mom has been reading through the Book of Mormon for the month of November and she's nearly done! (: I decided that since this years seminary theme is the Old Testament that I would read the whole thing before starting the Book of Mormon Marathon. (That's the whole NT in 45 days :O) I've just started easrlier this week and it's been a lot of reading, but so far I'm on track AND reading the scriptures brings me such joy and peace that it is already worth it. I plan to finish Leviticus today (: Anyways, my mom plans to finish soon and we'll be posting about her results and experiences to help get everyone pumped.
Also, look out for tips/tricks/and strategies to help you witht he challenge.
I hope all of you are preparing now for the challenge.
Have a good Thanksgiving and Happy Reading :D

Spread the Word (:
I'm hoping this idea will benifet a lot of people, but just like running a marathon this will take some preparation. Make sure you are creating a good habit now of reading, studying, and pondering the scriptures today, so when the race comes you don't fall behind. Let others know who you think will be interested so they can start preparing too! I'm so excited for the new year (:

A New Idea!
Today during my personal reading of the Book of Mormon, I had an inspiration. What if during the year 2012, I read the Book of Mormon once each month, and what if every month, I had a focus for my reading? The idea timed out too perfectly to ignore, 12 months, 12 times, in the year 2012. As I continued to read I thought of a list of topics that I would focus on, one each month. Then I thought, "Imagine how my life will change and how much my testimony will grow as I become farmiliar with the Book of Mormon!" Only a few moments after I decided to do this for myself, I came across this scripture in 2 Nephi 11:8. (This scripture is speaking spicifically of the words of Isiah, but I would propose that it applies to all scriptures and words of the Lord that we have recieved.)
"And now I write some of the words of Isaiah, that whoso of my people shall see these words may lift up their hearts and rejoice for all men. Now these are the words, and ye may liken them unto you and unto all men."
I realized that I should share this idea with others, not to force anyone to do it, but to invite anyone who would like to to read alongside me. I also decided to start this blog, so we can share our inspiration and findings with one another throughout this year.
More information about what we'll study and when, as well as information about how to prepare for this great journey is soon to come! :D
